After completing a degree in journalism in 2001, Matt has worked exclusively in B2B publishing within construction, editing titles in sectors including self-build, solar shading, fenestration and roofing.
Matt says “the key for content at Media Now is remembering who your audience is and ensuring what we print and post is always focused for them –it sounds obvious but so many titles don’t do this. Whilst our magazines cover specific sectors, we go even more niche and focus on specific parts of the supply chain – whether it be the installers on the tools, the manufacturers and suppliers or those specifying products and systems – their requirements are different so it’s our job to provide specific content that reflects how issues impact them, that’s relevant to them and in their language.”
Andy has spent his career in management positions within B2B sales teams, establishing strong relationships within the sectors he operates in. Andy prides himself on listening to clients’ requirements and creating packages that maximise impact and exposure across multiple platforms for campaigns of all sizes. Andy has been responsible for multiple launches of print magazines, online products and live events throughout his career.
Andy says: “The way suppliers, manufacturers and other organisations can connect with audiences has changed dramatically over the years, but rather than see it as a challenge we see it as a fantastic opportunity at Media Now and have made sure we have all the routes to market covered through our print distribution, who we partner with, on the page advertising and digital platforms.”
Sophie is an experienced Editor who has worked on numerous titles across the construction sector, writing for audiences throughout the supply chain. This has given her a strong understanding of the pressures on individuals and businesses, and the types of content that can assist readers on site or within their businesses.
Sophie says: “Publishing and the role of an Editor has changed beyond recognition in a relatively short space of time – whilst the print issue is still crucial, we can stay in touch with readers and take messages further a-field in-between issues through our digital platforms, e-newsletters and social media. This has changed the types of content we can provide and it’s our job to keep it fresh, focused and informative.”
